2nd class Saint Stanislaus order document issued in 1897 to Imperial German Navy Captain Lieutenant Wilhelm Bertram

Wilhelm Bertram (November 4, 1865; † 1959) was a German rear admiral of the Imperial Navy. He joined the Imperial Navy on 21 April 1884. WithOn 16 April 1887, he became a sub-lieutenant, served on the Preußen in 1890 and then became a company officer in the 3rd Naval Artillery Division. At the end of 1890, he was promoted to lieutenant in April 1893, he joined the König Wilhelm.

As a corvette captain, he was First Officer on the Mecklenburg and later, from November 1905 to October 1906, Commandant of the Sperber. He joined the Pensions Section and, in 1907, the Military Department of the Imperial Naval Office. Promoted to Captain on January 27, 1909, he was a member of the Second Senate of the Imperial Military Court in Berlin-Charlottenburg. On October 13, 1913, he was given the rank of Rear Admiral.

In August and September 1914 he was seconded to the staff of the Deputy General Command of the X Army Corps and subsequently, until January 1918, commander of the prisoner-of-war camp in Celle.​

Wilhelm Bertram was awarded 2nd calss Saint Staniuslaus order on July 28, 1897, document was issued September 4, 1897.
