Polish Orders of White Eagle from the collection of Grünes Gewölbe, Dresden

Unique set made in piqué technique (decorative work made by inlaying tiny points or pins of gold or other precious metals in patterns or pictures on tortoiseshell from the now endangered Hawksbill sea turtle).
Made by Johann Heinrich Köhler (1669-1736) one of the best artists working for Augustus the Strong, yet he has long stood in the shadow of his more famous contemporary Johann Melchior Dinglinger (1664-1731). He was a prolific artist who created eccentric works made of pearl, ivory, enamel and refined mounts.

Breast star made by Swiss jeweler Jean Jacques Pallard (1701-1776) somewhere between 1746 and 1749.
It was stolen from the Green Vault on November 25th, 2019 but luckily recently returned.

Gold, silver, rubies, diamonds.

Gold, silver, 92 rubies, 5 large and 220 small diamonds.
Size 160 mm.
Weight: 301g

Hidden under the center stone are two signatures: "Pallard a Geneve" and "Pallard/fecit/a Geneve/1753".

Cross made by jewelers Christian August Globig (before 1747-1798) and August Gotthelf Globig (before 1769-after 1819) sometime between 1782 and 1789. Cross was stolen was stolen from the jewel room of the Green Vault on November 25th, 2019. Fortunately, recently it was returned.
