Dobrokhim (Voluntary Society of Friends of Chemical Defense and Industry)/Доброхим (Добровольное общество друзей химической обороны и промышленности) is a defense public organization established on May 19, 1924 in Moscow. Dobrokhim's main task was to assist the state in developing the chemical industry, chemicalization of agriculture, promoting chemical knowledge among the population and preparing it for chemical defense under the motto "Mass defense against gases is the work of the working people!". By 1925, the organization had 1.3 million members who gave lectures in schools and institutions, created anti-chemical defense clubs and anti-chemical defense points at collective farms, clubs, and even in residential buildings, which conducted training and taught the population the rules of behavior during a gas attack.
