On July 1, 1904 tobacco manufacturing was monopolized and Monopoly Bureau was reorganized into a Tobacco Monopoly Bureau.
On October 1, 1907 the Tobacco Monopoly Bureau, Camphor Secretariat and Salt Affairs Bureau were integrated. As a result Monopoly Bureau was reestablished with new organizational form.
In 1949 the Monopoly Bureau is incorporated as the Japan Tobacco and Salt Public Corporation.
