舞鶴要港部 - Maizuru Naval Port
Maizuru Naval Port is an active Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force facility and historic naval base located in the eastern district of Maizuru City, Kyoto Prefecture, along the Sea of Japan. Maizuru District was founded in October 1901 as the Imperial Japanese Navy's sole naval base on the Sea of Japan coast, with Admiral Heihachiro Togo appointed as its first commander.
